White is the most-ordered chip colour in India. Here is how to choose the right grade and keep it looking good.
Why white is the default
White marble chips work with every binder colour, keep terrazzo bright and reflect heat outdoors. For most contractors, white is the stock item and other colours are ordered against specific jobs.
Which size to order
For terrazzo, 3-6 mm and 5-8 mm. For planters and small decorative areas, 8-10 mm. For beds and paths, 8-10 mm or 10-20 mm. For driveways and large open sites, 20-40 mm.
Keeping white chips clean
White shows soil faster than any other colour. A weed membrane below the layer stops mud pumping up from below, which is the single biggest cause of discolouration. Beyond that, an occasional rinse and rake restores most of the brightness. Badly soiled chips can be lifted, washed and relaid.
What to confirm before ordering
Confirm the size band, the quantity in weight or volume, the packing you want, and the delivery city. Pricing depends on all four, plus current availability, so it is quoted per enquiry rather than published as a fixed rate.
