1–2 mm Marble Chips
1-2 mm marble chips give a fine, even grain. In terrazzo they produce a subtle textured field rather than a chip-pattern floor, which suits large continuous areas where a busy aggregate would be distracting.
What this size looks like
A tight, uniform grain. After grinding and polishing the surface looks almost like a solid stone with a faint speckle.

Packaging
Supplied in woven bags for smaller quantities and in jumbo bags or loose bulk for larger orders. Pick the packing your site can offload — jumbo bags need mechanical handling.

Size tolerance
Marble chips are screened, not machined. A 1–2 mm batch will contain some pieces slightly above or below the nominal band — this is normal for crushed stone. Where a tight grading matters, say so at the enquiry stage so the requirement can be discussed before dispatch. We do not publish engineering tolerances we cannot verify for a given batch.

- Is 1-2 mm suitable for polished terrazzo?
- Yes, where a fine, quiet finish is wanted. If you want visible individual chips, choose 3-6 mm or larger.
- Can this grade be used outdoors?
- It is used in renders and plaster finishes outdoors, but as loose ground cover it is too fine — it washes and blows away.
- What packaging is used?
- Typically woven bags; bulk quantities can be discussed. Confirm your preferred packing when requesting a quote.
