8–10 mm Marble Chips
8-10 mm marble chips are the general-purpose decorative size. Large enough to read clearly as stone in a garden bed, small enough to walk on comfortably and to spread evenly by hand.
What this size looks like
Individual stones are plainly visible with distinct shape and veining. Covers ground evenly without looking coarse.

Packaging
Supplied in woven bags for smaller quantities and in jumbo bags or loose bulk for larger orders. Pick the packing your site can offload — jumbo bags need mechanical handling.

Size tolerance
Marble chips are screened, not machined. A 8–10 mm batch will contain some pieces slightly above or below the nominal band — this is normal for crushed stone. Where a tight grading matters, say so at the enquiry stage so the requirement can be discussed before dispatch. We do not publish engineering tolerances we cannot verify for a given batch.

- A 40-50 mm layer is typical for decorative cover. Deeper layers suppress weeds better but use more material.
- Can 8-10 mm be used in terrazzo?
- Yes, for large-chip exposed-aggregate style floors. The topping must be thick enough for the chip size.
- Do I need a membrane under the chips?
- A weed membrane keeps soil from mixing up into the chips and keeps them looking clean much longer.
