Marble Chips for Resin Flooring

Last reviewed 2026-03-08 · MarbleChips.in product team

Resin floors show chips at full colour. Grading consistency and cleanliness matter more than in cement work.

Grading consistency

Resin systems are trowelled thin, so inconsistent grading shows immediately as an uneven surface. Narrow, well-screened bands give the best result.

Cleanliness and dust

Stone dust on the chip surface prevents the resin from wetting the aggregate properly, which weakens the bond and clouds the finish. Washed, dried material is worth specifying for resin work.

Colour behaviour

Clear binders show the true stone colour, and the finished floor usually looks darker and more saturated than dry chips in a bag. Always view a cured sample rather than judging from loose material.

Ordering for repeat work

Resin flooring contractors usually need consistent supply across multiple jobs. Discuss ongoing volumes rather than one-off spot orders so grading stays consistent between deliveries.

This guide is general information. For installation and construction decisions, follow the specification of your contractor, flooring specialist or engineer.
