Marble Chips for Architects and Specifiers
For a specifier, the risk is not the chip — it is substitution and batch variation. Writing the grade, packing and preparation into the specification, and approving a finished sample panel, removes most of that risk before it reaches site.

Pricing depends on colour, size, quantity, packaging and delivery location.
Specify the full grade
Name the size band, colour, matrix and any washing or drying requirement. A colour name alone leaves every other variable open.
Sample the finished condition
Approve a cast, ground and polished panel rather than loose material, and retain it on site as the benchmark.
Design for batch variation
Natural stone varies. Either secure the whole quantity in one lot or design a border or joint where a tonal change can be absorbed.
Coordinate early
Topping thickness and grinding depth constrain the chip grade, so bring the flooring contractor into the material discussion before the specification is issued.
